Checking a PDF for searchable text in Acrobat 9
Leonard Rosenthol has posted a tip on how to automatically check a PDF for searchable text using Acrobat 9’s Preflight feature:
With one of the many new checks that we’ve added to Acrobat 9 Preflight, you can easily detect whether any text in a PDF can not be properly encoded as Unicode (aka can be extracted/searched properly).
He’s included a profile for Acrobat 9’s Preflight on his blog which you can download for free.
